Disneyland for Rachel's 5th Birthday

November 2009 we went on down to Disneyland to celebrate Rachel turning 5. This year was special because my siblings came along with their families and Disneyland was decorated for the holiday's. We have never been to Disneyland when it was all decorated for Christmas and were excited to go.
The first day didn't go quit as planned. We had decided to have Dan drive and drop everyone off at the front and then come back and get the family so we could park in the garage. Well, the parking garage took longer than we had thought and everyone was waiting for us for a long time. We had decided to just do the shuttle after that. Once we got into the park we headed down Main Street and got our picture taken in front of the castle. It was a picture perfect day.
We couldn't have asked for a better picture.
We then hit the rides and had a blast. Rachel saw the people doing face paintings and really wanted to get her face painted. We let her get her face painted and she insisted that I get mine painted too.
So we both sat and got decorated. We sure looked cute.
A tradition that we have is, we go to a character breakfast or dinner on the day of their birthday, so they can meet the characters and open their presents. This year we ate breakfast in the park with Minnie at the Park Plaza. That was a really fun and good breakfast. The kids saw all their favorite characters and at the end they had a dance party with them.
Rachel enjoyed opening her gifts and it was really cool because Minnie came and sat with her while she opened the presents.
The rest of the day we enjoyed the park by going on more rides and doing things we haven't done before. Ben wanted to see if he could be picked to become a Jedi and he did.
It was the highlight of the trip for him.
The funniest part of the trip was when James and Rachel wanted Uncle Chris and Carolyn to take them on the rockets. While standing in line James pooped his pants and didn't say anything. Uncle Chris noticed it when he sat with him on the rockets.
The look on his face was priceless!
The family joke is Uncle Chris got to ride with poopy pants James.
Rachel had an amazing trip and had fun celebrating turning 5 at the park. It was nice to have family with us to make it a special trip.
 Happy 5th Birthday Rachel!
