Where it all began

Us in Victoria, BC
I couldn't think of a better way to start our blog than with us on our honeymoon. This was the beginning of the many fun adventures that we have taken. We were poor college students and newly married, but desperately wanted to take our honeymoon before the fall quarter began. We decided to take a road trip and do some concerts, visit Victoria, BC and then head to Ocean Shores, WA. The concerts we had hoped to go to were Beastie Boys, Janet Jackson and End Fest. Unfortunately, the Janet concert ended up being canceled so we took the opportunity to go to Victoria. Yes, this is the part of our trip where Dan's cousin Doug joined us. We were only there for one night and Doug needed to get away. We figured it was a great way to save some money and if he came we had someone to take pictures for us. We had a blast in Victoria! We went through some of the museums, ate some really good food and caught a movie (There's Something about Mary). If you were to ask us what we remember most about our time in Victoria it would be going to the movies. That was one funny movie! Before we caught the ferry home we watched a few street performers and enjoyed the sunshine.

Our next stop was Ocean Shores. We really wanted to go to a nice tropical beach, but had to settle with the good ole Washington Beaches. Although it wasn't tropical, the weather was nice and we did have fun. We were there for a few days and enjoyed walking the beach and being silly. I somehow convinced him to ride a horse on the beach. I think I said, "wouldn't it be romantic to go on a horse back ride on the beach?" and gave him a really cute look. I think he rolled his eyes and said "not really" under his breath but he did it anyway. When it was over we both said that it was fun.
On our last day at the beach he convinced me that we needed to rent some scooters and ride them on the beach. I couldn't say no since he did do the horse back ride. He drove really fast and ditched me but I did have fun trying to catch up with him. Dan would fly past me with this goofy look on his face and I couldn't help but laugh.

We had such a fun, relaxing and romantic, in our own little way, honeymoon.
